Features and benefits
- Combines the fluoride release and chemical dentine adhesion of a glass ionomer with the command set and improved strength of a resin-modified material; light curing means the base is immediately hard and cannot be displaced when the overlying restoration is condensed; substantially stronger and less soluble than a conventional glass ionomer, and far less moisture-sensitive during the critical first minutes; releases fluoride at the cavity floor where secondary caries starts; radiopaque; syringe delivery places a controlled layer precisely where it is needed.
Directions to use
Excavate the caries and clean the cavity. Isolate and dry lightly without desiccating. Apply as a base or liner over the dentine floor in a layer no thicker than 2 mm, keeping clear of the enamel margins so the full bonded enamel area remains available to the adhesive. Light-cure for the time stated in the IFU. Etch, bond and place the definitive restoration over it as normal — the resin-modified surface bonds well to composite. Recap the syringe immediately and store away from operatory light. Confirm exact composition, setting times and contraindications against the SafeEndo IFU before publishing.
