Features and benefits
- Light curing gives an immediate hard, well-adapted seal, unlike a self-setting temporary that stays soft for several minutes and can be displaced by the patient; flowable consistency adapts intimately to the cavity walls, which is critical because coronal leakage between endodontic appointments is a leading cause of treatment failure; removes easily in one piece with a probe or excavator at the next visit, without a bur and without cutting sound tooth structure; does not bond chemically, so it lifts out cleanly; radiopaque so its presence and integrity can be checked radiographically.
Directions to use
Clean and dry the cavity. Place a cotton pellet or a suitable spacer over any intracanal medicament so the temporary does not enter the canal. Extrude the material into the access cavity to a depth of at least 3–4 mm — a thin temporary will leak, which defeats the purpose of the interappointment dressing. Adapt with a plastic instrument and light-cure for the time stated in the IFU. Check the occlusion and adjust so the patient is not loading the temporary. At the next visit, lift the material out with a probe or excavator. Recap the syringe and store away from operatory light. Confirm exact composition, setting times and contraindications against the SafeEndo IFU before publishing.
